About Faith Seeking Sanity
Faith Seeking Sanity is dedicated to the serious examination of philosophical and theological questions from an Anglo-Catholic perspective.
It seeks to bring faith and reason into thoughtful conversation, drawing upon the intellectual and spiritual inheritance of historic Christianity.
Our Approach
We believe that faith is not opposed to reason, but rather that genuine philosophical inquiry and deep theological reflection can illuminate one another. The Anglo-Catholic tradition, with its emphasis on Scripture, Tradition, and Reason, provides a rich framework for this kind of exploration.
Through essays, reflections, and scholarly engagement, we aim to contribute to the ongoing conversation about matters of faith, meaning, and the human condition.
Tradition
The Anglo-Catholic tradition within the Anglican Communion traces its roots to the Oxford Movement of the 19th century, while drawing on the broader Catholic heritage of the Western Church. It values liturgical worship, sacramental theology, and the wisdom of the Church Fathers.
